I am interested in the interplay between phylogeny, ontogeny and current ecology to study individual variation in life-history strategies and social behaviours.
As an undergrade student, I worked in Paleontology (University of Alberta) and on the behavioral ecology of reproduction in lepidoptera (Université Laval) and Macaques (Smithsoninan Primate Biology Program in Sri Lanka).
For my M.Sc., I studied the relative importance of historical genetic divergence and contemporary ecological pressures in shaping functional morphology in a fish species of North-Eastern America, the Rainbow smelt.
For my Ph.D., I am studying how early-life hormones can shape individual variation in cooperative behaviours in meerkats.
